Ferrari has started an investigation to find out the causes for the fires that have destroyed three new 458 Italias.
Pictures of the three cars, one in China, one in Paris and one in California have been posted on the internet and the incidents are being investigated jointly by local Ferrari outlets and workers at the company’s Maranello base.
A Ferrari spokesman said, “Ferrari takes any incident involving one of our vehicles very seriously.”
“The company is currently investigating the particular incidents in which vehicles have apparently been involved in a vehicle fire, and it is currently treating these as separate incidents.”
“Until these investigations are complete, Ferrari is unable to provide any further comment.”
