Porsche has announced that they will be providing the official safety car and emergency response vehicles for the 2011 American Le Mans Series.

The safety car in question will be a Panamera Turbo, equipped with a light bar and safety car livery.

As for the emergency response vehicles, these will be Porsche Cayennes, designed to respond to accidents requiring medical aid. The only visible change here is the paint job.

Unfortunately, that’s all we know about these cars, as Porsche simply slipped the news out the door through their Twitter account. We’ll let you know if more info is revealed.
