The Blog
The Blog of Cars was founded September 19th, 2009, by Igor Magun. He ran it by himself until the blog’s shutdown in October 20th, 2009, as the workload was simply too much for a one man team. Luckily, the blog was started back up again November 5th, 2009, when Alexandru Cascatau offered to help. In doing so, he became the first person to join Igor’s team. Ever since, four more people have joined, dividing up the workload and helping us deliver a better experience for the reader. However, this is still just a hobby for us, and we have other things in our life to keep us busy, which is why we’re always looking for new members on the team.
The blog has changed quite a lot since it was first launched. We started which just a lone blog on Blogetery, but have moved to our own hosting and domain since then, with the underpinnings coming courtesy of WordPress.
The Team
As mentioned earlier, our team has expanded from the one-man army led by Igor Magun, to a group of five dedicated people, many with differing tasks but all with one goal in mind: to make the blog experience as enjoyable as possible.
Igor Magun - Founder, Editor-in-Chief and Lead Administrator (email)
Igor is the person who started it all. He founded the blog and has been working hard to make it better ever since, setting himself responsibility for managing the technical side of the blog while still writing articles.
Tom Gregory - Senior Editor (email)
Tom joined in during the February 2010 surge of authors, and we instantly saw he was a gem. He quickly made his way up the ranks from Writer to Executive Editor, and has stayed with us since.
Tina joined The Blog of Cars to provide us with some great opinion pieces, although she has covered some other areas as well. Many interesting pieces have been written by her ever since.
Antonio Cuellar – Writer (email)
Antonio joined in shortly after Tina. He has done everything from rants to praises, and was later put in charge of our Car of the Week segment.
Christoph Pohl – Writer (email)
Christoph joined in February 2010, when he found out we were recruiting through the FinalGear Forums. He is just as passionate about cars as all of us here, and will be writing plenty of articles for your enjoyment.
