Subaru has revealed a 4-door saloon version of the Impreza WRX STI for the first time in 3 years.
The 2011 Impreza, which was unveiled at the New York motor show, will be available alongside the existing 5 door hatchback version. This is the first time the STI has been available in 2 different body styles. Both cars will offer improved suspension due to stiffer springs and bushings as well as thicker anti-roll bars. They also feature new, lighter, 18 inch alloy wheels. Handling on the new 4 door is further improved by the new rear wing which Subaru claim will aid high-speed stability and on the limit handling.
The engine produces the same 305bhp and 290lb ft of torque as before, but Subaru say they have changed the exhaust silencing making the car “meaner and louder”
