Details and a picture of the Nissan GT-R SpecM have been leaked, including a new name for the car: the Nissan GT-R Egoist.
The name change comes to help market the car to people who believe they deserve more than the average person.
Power will come from the same engine which will power the 2012 Nissan GT-R. The engine is revealed to be a 520 bhp variant of the VR38 found in the current GT-R, with torque also receiving a bump up to 452 lb-ft.
The Egoist isn’t all about performance however. It’s designed to be a luxury variant of the standard GT-R. So spring rates have been revised, as well as rear suspension geometry, for a more comfy ride. The interior will also be getting some “Egoist” touches, although exact details aren’t specified. By the looks of the picture, the Egoist receives a new set of rims as well.
Pricing will start at $150,000, and Nissan plans to sell just 10 cars per month. Moreover, as with the SpecV, the car most likely won’t be making it to North America.
