Aston Martin CEO Ulrich Bez recently announced that the company will be putting a Lagonda nameplate revival into production soon.
The revival will be a four-wheel-drive SUV, but luckily, it won’t be based on the Lagonda Concept. The car will be aimed at emerging markets such as Russia, China, the Middle East and Eastern Europe, where SUVs are more practical than sports cars due to low quality roads.
The underpinnings of the Lagonda will come from a different, unspecified manufacturer. The concept car was based on the Mercedes-Benz GL though, and with Aston Martin recently rumoured to be discussing cooperation with the German giant, the underpinnings are likely to come from Mercedes.
