Suzuki, Mitsubishi and Ford have each issued a separate recall today, with a total of about 90,000 cars being recalled by the trio.
Suzuki’s recall affects the 2007-2010 SX4. The problem is that the screws securing the external rearview mirrors can come loose due to vehicle vibration, and you could be left without a mirror. 70,000 cars fall under the recall, with most of them, 42,513, from 2008, and just one from 2007. Owners will be notified next month.
The Mitsubishi recall concerns 20,000 2006-2008 Endeavors, in which the defroster could malfunction because of a heater controller sending the wrong signals and causing the heater door to stick. Mitsubishi will start notifying owners on November 30th.
Ford’s recall is much less substantial than the other two, affecting just 71 2011 Ford Edge and Lincoln MKX vehicles. Ford says that these vehicles inadvertently left the manufacturing plant with control module settings which disable the liftgate locking mechanism. The company will notify owners next week.
