Olivier Francois, president and CEO of Chrysler, says that the Chrysler 200 Convertible will be revealed at next year’s New York Auto Show.
We don’t know much in the way of details, but it’s expected to pack the same range of engines as the sedan, a 2.4L inline-four and a 3.6L Pentastar V6. The most powerful configuration could produce 283 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque.
Chrysler CEO Francois also said that the company will begin using a special two-tone paint system for the 200 soon. This will be similar to a trick used in the Lancia lineup, with a black roof and white body. While it may look good, it does add an extra six hours to the painting process.
The NY Auto Show will begin April 22nd, and we’ll be sure to look out for more details then.
