A technical service bulletin (TSB) has been issued for the 2011 Kia Optima due to possible accelerator issues.

While the exact problem isn’t specified, Kia asks dealers to check the accelerators for “unsatisfactory feel”, noise, or responsiveness, by pressing down on the pedal and quickly releasing it 25 to 30 times. If an issue is found, Kia will replace the pedal assembly under warranty.

Optimas built from October 16 to November 24, 2010 are affected by the TSB.
