Ford’s head of global product development, Derrick Kuzak, hinted at the possibility of a successor to the GT supercar during a meeting with journalists in Detroit.
When asked about the possibility of such a successor, Kuzak chose his words very carefully, and after a long pause, he said, “Well I think there are certain things that we don’t want to talk about in terms of four-year product plans, if that’s okay.” While this isn’t necessarily a confirmation, it suggests that the idea of a GT successor crossed the minds of at least a few executives when putting together Ford’s four-year product plans.
This means that if such a car is in the work, we could see it launched within the next four years. Hopefully it’ll be every bit as great as the last GT.
