After a long saga on Saab’s future, GM has made a surprise announcement as the American company is set to keep producing the Saab 9-5 and 9-3 Cabrio.
This move comes after General Motors has said it will close Saab 2 times. The Dutch company Spyker has tried to buy Saab 2 times from GM but unfortunately no agreement has been made. However, Saab will still remain for sale . “We are preparing a wind-down process . at the same time we are open to options to bids that come in,” is what a Saab spokesman said, revealing the plans for the company in the near future.
Rumours say that GM is still in talks with other firms looking to buy Saab like Spyker (yet again) and Merbanco Inc. I really hope something comes up soon so GM can finally sell the troubled Swedish maker to someone else, I am already fed up with this story which doesn’t seem to have an end.
