Peugeot has revealed a special edition of their 207, dubbed the 207 S16. The car is based on the three-door Sport 1.6 VTi variant of the 207, and sadly, the changes are only cosmetic.
The car was created to celebrate Kris Meeke’s 2009 Intercontinental Rally Challenge drivers’ title, hence the graphics mimicking Meeke’s rally car (Which are actually an optional extra, albeit free of charge). Besides the graphics, Peugeot has also thrown on a bodykit, 17″ alloy wheels, a mesh grille and tinted rear windows from the 207 GTI.
Changes aren’t limited to the exterior however. The interior also gets a special badge signed by Meeke, and for £684.21, you can get an optional black leather interior, with a choice of either black or silver grey stitching.
Performance isn’t very good because of the 207 Sport 1.6 it’s based on. 0-62 mph takes 10.7 seconds, and it’ll keep on crawling to a top speed of 125 mph. Nonetheless, it should be a fairly fun car, and it’s good looking in my opinion. So if you’re looking for a nice little hatchback, this might be worth considering. Hurry with your decision though, as only 250 will be made. Oh, and make sure you have £14,695 to spare. Not including the optional leather interior.

Peugeot’s 207 has dominated the Intercontinental Rally Challenge for the last three years, whether on the gravel roads of Scotland or the tarmac of San Remo.
To recognise this achievement and that of Kris Meeke in winning the 2009 IRC drivers’ title, Peugeot has created the Special Edition 207 S16.
Based on the 207 Sport 1.6 VTi 3dr, only 250 examples of this car will be produced. The S16 adds to the already comprehensive standard equipment of the 207 sport model:
- Bianca White exterior body colour
- Full 207 RC Cup bodykit comprising front and rear spoilers, side skirts and a pseudo rear diffuser
- 17″ Hockenheim Alloy Wheels
- SP Sports mesh grille
- Dark tinted rear windows from the 207 GTi model
- Special interior badge signed by Kris Meeke
- Optional free of charge vinyl rally graphics which mimic those found on Kris Meeke’s IRC winning 207 S2000 rally car.
The 207 S16 benefits from over £1,200 worth of additional specification compared to a standard Sport model and is priced at £14,695.
To further enhance the appeal of the 207 S16 an optional leather interior is also available priced at £684.21. It is available in black with either black or silver Grey stitching.
