Ford has revealed the special edition Focus RS500, which they will release as a special send off for the current generation Focus.
As the name suggests, the RS500 will be a limited run of just 500 cars when it goes on sale in May. An improved forced induction kit and exhaust system give the car 345bhp, 45 more than the standard RS. Torque is also up from 325lb ft to 339lb ft. The 0-62mph run is down from 5.9 to 5.6 seconds but top speed remains at 163mph.
The RS500 comes in a unique matte black paint finish. The cars leave the factory in gloss black and are then shipped to 3M in Frankfurt where a special film is laid over the cars, creating the matte finish.
The interior features a numbered plaque and red detailing as apposed to the standard RS’ blue. Ford hasn’t yet announced pricing details, but expect the RS500 to cost around £35,000.
