Ferrari is reportedly recalling the 458 Italia due to a fire risk.
This news come just three days after we found out Ferrari would investigate the fires. While there’s no official confirmation from Ferrari yet, Jalopnik has been tipped by an owner that they received a recall notification. The notification said a gas overflow tube and gas vapour system were placed too close to the engine, which results in the risk of a fire.
Moreover, a user on the Ferrari Chat forums said that when picking up his 458, the dealership changed a breather pipe during pre-delivery inspection. When he asked if this was related to the fire, they said “probably”. We’ll be awaiting official confirmation.
