Mastretta, a small Mexican car manufacturer, has announced that they will reveal the production version of their MXT sports car at the Paris Motor Show.
The pre-production car was revealed back in 2007, with power coming from a 2.0L inline-four Ford Duratec which would be turbocharged and tuned by Cosworth to produce 240 hp. Not an awful lot, but with the weight set to be under a tonne, a 0-60 mph time of under five seconds was expected.
Mastretta planned a production run of 150 units per year, with over 70 percent of that going to Europe and the US. The car was set to go into production last year. However, for unknown reasons, those plans were delayed.
We’ll have more info for you when the Paris Motor Show begins.
