Hyundai has confirmed that they will unveil the new Accent at the New York Auto Show next year, as well as the Veloster hatchback in Detroit.
The Veloster will be a new sports hatchback. While we don’t know any official details, and even the name is subject to change, it is believed to be powered by a 1.6L Gamma four-cylinder engine, developing an estimated 138 hp and 123 lb-ft of torque, while achieving 40 mpg on the highway. It will be connected to a six-speed dual-clutch transmission.
As for the new Accent, this will likely look the same as the Verna revealed in Beijing earlier this year. Nothing much is known, but it’s expected to return 42 mpg on the highway.
