Xenatec’s Maybach coupe conversion begins limited production

Limited production of Xenatec’s Maybach coupe conversion, dubbed the Cruiserio coupe, has begun.

The conversion starts with a Maybach 57 limousine, and transforms it into a large, coach-built coupe comparable to the Bentley Continental GT. It was announced earlier this year, but production has only become possible now, thanks to a €70 million investment from Saudi Arabian company Auto Kingdom.

Even though the Cruiserio has two less doors than the 57, it retains the enormous 5.7 metre length. Underneath the hood, it packs the V12 out of the 57 S with 605 hp. This propels it from a standstill to 100 kph in 5.0 seconds, and on to a top speed of 275 kph (170 mph).

The price for this luxury barge? A rather steep €715,000, or about $950,000 USD. But even if you happen to afford one, only 100 will be made.
