Reports suggest that Porsche could launch a range-topping Panamera Turbo S next month, with a live debut set for either the New York or Shanghai auto show.
While nothing is official, the figures being thrown around are simply staggering, especially for a sedan. The Turbo S is said to have the same 4.8L twin-turbo V8 as the standard Turbo, but with 540-550 horsepower and 590 pound-feet of torque. All that power will propel it from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.8 seconds, and all the way to a top speed of 188 mph. However, a Sport Chrono package may be able to get the 0-60 time below 3.5 seconds.
Seeing as we’re near the end of the month, an official announcement could come as soon as the end of the week. We’ll be on the look out.
