After images from the official brochure were leaked Audi has revealed full details about it’s new RS5
The new car will be powered by the same 4.2 V8 from the R8, but with power up by 30bhp giving it 444bhp and 318lb ft of torque at 4000rpm with the redline at 8250rpm.
The RS5 uses a seven speed DSG gearbox which, teamed with 4 wheel drive, will get the car to 62mph in 6.2 seconds and on to a limited top speed of 155mph, however Audi will raise the top speed to 174mph as a special option.
The 4 wheel drive system uses a new centre differential which can send up to 85% of the torque to the rear wheels or up to 70% to the front wheels in extreme circumstances, however, the normal road driving settings are a 40:60 front to rear split.
The RS sits 20mm lower than a normal A5 and has 19″ wheels as standard, 20″ wheels will be an option, as will carbon ceramic brakes. The car also gets a new front bumper and front splitter as well as double tailpipes and a retractable spoiler that rises at 75mph.
The RS5 is likely to start at under £60,000.

Looks amazing. Great job Audi. Just a shame it won’t come with a manual, very odd for an Audi.
