Atomik Cars has made a Fiat 500 based EV, and before I begin, I’m lying about the moon part. Atomik just did some fancy photo editing.
The car isn’t just based on any 500, but on the 500 Abarth. Atomik has made it more powerful and greener. There’s something you don’t see all the time. The electric motors put out 300 horsepower, quite a lot in a car the size of a shoe. This results in a 0 -60 time of just 5.6 seconds. It has lithium iron phosphate batteries, although it’s unknown how many and what range they provide, a ceramic heating system to keep the cabin warm and a “Peltier A/C module w/o gas” to cool it.
Only 50 copies of the Atomik will be made. The car will make its debut at this year’s Top Marques Monaco. We should have more details about the car then. In the meantime, get a closer look in the gallery below.
