Geely to launch their own London cab in Beijing

Geely is launching their own version of the London black cab at the Beijing Auto Show this year.

The car, dubbed the Geely Englon TXN concept, is meant to be a modern recreation of the LTI Vehicles TX4 cab. This may have been sparked by Geely’s recent joint venture with Manganese Bronze, the company which owns LTI Vehicles, as well as their intentions to take a controlling stake in the company. The joint venture allowed production to be shifted from Coventry to China, resulting in 60 job losses, and if other Chinese cars are anything to go by, potentially lower quality.

More details will be revealed at the Beijing Auto Show (And hopefully higher quality pictures), but one thing’s for sure: it’s ghastly!
