Just two days after pictures of the SSC Ultimate Aero II leaked, we’re now getting more info from Top Gear, including the projected top speed: a Veyron Super Sport slaying 275 mph.
To propel it to this speed, the Ultimate Aero II will use a 6.8L twin-turbo V8, developing 1350 hp with a compression ratio of 9.0:1, and a nine thousand rpm redline. With the car weighing around 2600 pounds, SSC believes 1350 hp will be enough to get it from 0-60 in 2.8 seconds, and onto a top speed of 275 mph.
Do keep in mind that the car is still in development stage, and it’ll be some time before these figures can be confirmed. More info will be available in the next issue of Top Gear Magazine, due out this Wednesday.
