10 Ford Focus Variants Coming to the US

Ford C-Max

Car and Driver recently had a talk with Ford’s marketing chief Jim Farley, and part of this talk was a discussion about the next generation Ford Focus. According to Farley, there will be 10 variants of Focus coming to the US, and presumably the rest of North America.

Some of the variants given the green light for sales over here include the C-Max and Grand C-Max, which will come in five and seven-seat variants. Then there will be a sedan and coupe Focus (Possibly a convertible), as well as three and five door variants. An electric version has been promised too. The Kuga is probably another one of them, and Mercury and Lincoln versions are a possibility. Ford is getting pretty serious about small cars in North America, with these 10 Focus based cars as well as the upcoming Fiesta. This new Focus should make its debut at the 2010 Detroit Auto Show in January.

I just hope that they finally give us an RS Ford in the form of a Focus RS.
