Dodge Viper to take the Devon GTX to the grave with it

Dodge announced late last year that the Viper would be killed off this year. Now, it has been confirmed that the Devon GTX will be canceled because of this.

This decision was made because the Devon GTX shares its engine and chassis with the Viper. If the Viper goes out of production, it will be harder, or even impossible, to get a hold of these underpinnings.

The car looks fantastic, and if Autoblog is to be believed, it drives brilliantly as well. It’s a shame that it won’t be going into production. However, Scott Devon, founder of the company, says that they might take one of the prototypes racing with Justin Bell in GT2. So at least we might see it race.
