Jason Plato tested a Chevrolet Cruze for the RML team at Oulton Park on Tuesday morning.
Last week it was revealed that Plato will again be the top driver of the squad to try and approve upon his 2nd place finish last season. RML, which is also the Chevrolet works team in the WTCC, is thinking about trying to run 2 Cruzes this season, but not ruling out bringing back the Lacetti again. No official announcement has been made of whether RML will run as a works Chevrolet team or sponsor-led like last year when they raced under the Racing Silverline name.
Renault Clio Cup runner-up Alex MacDowall, who is favored to race the 2nd Chevrolet Cruze this season, will test it on Wednesday.
