Chevrolet has announced that they will sell a limited number of Camaro Indianapolis 500 Pace Car replicas.
The car is based on a top-of-the-line Camaro 2SS with an RS appearance package, but receives features to make it look like the pace car, including white stripes, an Inferno Orange front grille and engine cover, accent coloured floor mats, and Indy 500 event logos on both the exterior and interior. Sadly, they have made an automatic transmission the only gearbox option for this Camaro.
No more than 200 examples will be sold, and only 187 of GM dealers will offer the car. Pricing starts at $41,950 including the destination charge. You can have a look at the actual Indy 500 Pace Car in the gallery below, or find out more about the replica in Chevy’s press release.
