Mini Moke Concept may be unveiled at Detroit Auto Show

Mini may be unveiling a Moke concept car at the upcoming Detroit Auto Show.

This car may eventually become a production car, around 2012 or 2013. It will be based around the Mini R60 Countryman, but will have a more rugged off-road look and will feature Mini’s upcoming ALL4 AWD system which will be optional on the Countryman. The drivetrain and most of the interior will be taken from the R60.

Like the original Moke (Pictured above), it is expected to have a stripped down interior and an open top aspect to it.

Some time ago, BimmerFile reported that Mini would bring a Moke concept to an undetermined auto show in 2010, so this could be true.
