As if Toyota didn’t have enough problems, they have now had to shutdown a plant in China due to a worker’s strike.
I fully understand that Toyota won’t deliberately make a bad car, at least I think they won’t, but the amount of problems they have now is so ludicrous it borders on laughable. It was fun at first, then it got old, now it’s plain annoying.
Toyota’s at it again: this time they’re recalling about 50,000 2003 Sequoias for issues with the stability control (Not related to the Lexus GX 460/Toyota Land Cruiser Prado recall).
Toyota has agreed to pay the $16.4 million fine issued to them by the NHTSA recently, but still denies any wrongdoing, stating that they paid the fine to simply avoid any more problems.
Well that was pretty quick. It’s been just over a week since Consumer Reports first found the safety issue on the Lexus GX 460, and Toyota is already recalling it to install a fix.
The poor guys over at Toyota just can’t stop the recalls. They’re now recalled 600,000 Toyota Siennas, model year 1998 – 2010, due to corrosion problems on the spare tire cables.
The Los Angeles Times is reporting that Toyota may have delayed the US floor mat recall of the Venza by six weeks.
Toyota will be running safety tests on all their SUVs following Consumer Reports‘ findings on the Lexus GX 460. Also, Japanese news outlet Nikkei reports that Toyota may already have a fix for the issue, and it will soon be released.
Problems just don’t stop coming for Toyota. Consumer Reports has found a safety issue on the Lexus GX 460, and it’s so serious that they have issued a “Don’t Buy” warning, and Lexus has halted sales of the car to fix it.
